Responsible for performing royalty revenue audits on companies that held contracts to produce hydrocarbons on State lands to ensure proper royalty payments to the State of Texas.

  • Supervised a team of 5 auditors in the performance of joint interest and royalty audits on State leases.
  • Successfully recovered over $40 million in under paid royalties for the state of Texas.

My primary responsibilities included conducting on-site reviews of national banks and federal savings associations (or federal thrifts); and to provide sustained supervision of these institutions’ operations.

The TABC audits alcoholic beverage gross receipts to ensure proper payment to the state.  Entity types subject to audit include liquor wholesalers, beer distributors, airlines, restaurants, bars, sporting arenas, private clubs, bingo halls and other miscellaneous companies.

My primary responsibilities, conduct gross receipts tax audits on permit holders.

  • Performed 46 operational and gross receipts tax audits of alcoholic beverage permits held by Texas business.
  • Recovered over $750 thousand in under paid and delinquent taxes for the state of Texas.
